A UK Law Degree at GUC

Course Overview

GUC in partnership with Leeds Law School (LLS) of the Leeds Beckett University in UK (LBU) offers a unique opportunity to obtain a UK Honours Degree in Law without actually travelling to the UK, yet with the full support of LLS instructors and the students paying fees at Botswana rates.

Curriculum, course content and assessments are the same as for students studying in the UK. GUC is responsible for delivering instruction and conducting assessments which will be overseen and moderated by LLS. All staff from GUC teaching the course are approved by LLS to ensure a good student experience.

The course will equip students with an understanding of the legal systems, rules and practices that govern and regulate society and our commercial and social relationships. They will also have opportunity to develop skills in analysis, legal reasoning, evaluation and advocacy.

As a qualifying law degree, this course is recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board as meeting the academic requirements of your legal training; the completion of the course will enable you undertake further study to become a solicitor or barrister.
